Footnotes

  1. This is probably the rarest U.S.-released LP, sent only to select radio stations by Elektra in late 1971 and much sought-after by Bread collectors. What might really be the "Holy Grail" of Bread releases could be the mid-1970's release of "The David Gates Songbook," listed then as a Bread album in the Schwann catalog but probably not released officially. Click here and see footnote I on that page.

  2. On the original issues of the LPs, the British release has "Been Too Long On The Road" where the U.S. release has "Diary."

  3. Three Bread songs appear on solo albums by James Griffin. "Love You Till The Cows Come Home" and "She Knows" (from early 1973 Bread sessions) are on "Breakin' Up Is Easy" which was released in 1973. "That's All I Need" (a Robb Royer song recorded by Griffin, Gates, Botts and Knechtel in Sept., 1974) is on the import-only LP "James Griffin" which was originally released in Germany in 1977. Also on the latter LP is "Blood From A Stone" – an "almost-Bread" track recorded in Dec., 1974 and produced by Griffin, Knechtel and Royer which also has Mike Botts on drums.
